ICON is the sixth "best-of" compilation album by John Lennon . It is the 21st posthumously released album after Lennon's death in 1980. At the same time, including the eight solo studio albums, the three avant-garde albums with his wife Yoko Ono , the two live albums, the two interview albums and the compilation albums, it is the 33rd total. John Lennon's album. It was released in the United States on September 9, 2014 .

History of origin

In September 2014 Capitol Records / Universal Records released another compilation album by John Lennon, it was after Shaved Fish , The John Lennon Collection , Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon , Working Class Hero: The Definitive Lennon and Power to the People: The Hits is the sixth best-of compilation album by John Lennon.

The CD contains ten single A-pages that were released between 1969 and 1982, as well as the album title Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy) from the album Double Fantasy . The CD does not contain the following top 20 hits from the UK and US charts: Power to the People , Whatever Gets You thru the Night , # 9 Dream , Woman and Nobody Told Me .

All titles are from the remastered re-releases that came out in October 2010. A leaflet is enclosed with the CD.

The designers of the cover were Susan Lavoie and Mike Diehl.
