Working Class Hero: The Definitive Lennon The US vs. John Lennon
2006

Working Class Hero: The Definitive Lennon is the fourth "Best Of" compilation album by John Lennon and the 15th posthumously released album after Lennon's death in 1980. It also includes eight solo studio albums, the three avant-garde albums with his Ms. Yoko Ono , the two live albums , the two interview albums and the compilation albums make up John Lennon's 27th album. It was released on October 3, 2005 in the UK and October 4, 2005 in the US .

History of origin

In October 2005, EMI released a compilation album for John Lennon's 65th birthday, after Shaved Fish , The John Lennon Collection and Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon, it was the fourth and most extensive "Best Of" compilation album by John Lennon. The double CD contains 20 single A-pages that were released between 1969 and 1988. The only not included, internationally released single is Every Man Has a Woman . The album also contained the US promotional single I'm Losing You (version with Cheap Trick ), a live recording of the album Live in New York City ( Come Together ); two recordings were taken from the John Lennon Anthology and from Wonsaponatime ( Real Love and Grow Old with Me - version orchestrated by George Martin ); the remaining 14 songs are from the studio albums.

Only Yoko Ono is mentioned as the producer , which probably only applies to the production of the CD, since the respective producers are specified in the accompanying book for the music. All tracks are from the remixed and remastered re-releases that were released between 2000 and 2005. A 20-page booklet is enclosed with the CD.

There was no publication in LP format.
