Emergence
On August 30, 1972, John Lennon and Yoko Ono wanted to give an evening concert with the other artists Stevie Wonder , Sha-Na-Na and Roberta Flack in Madison Square Garden in New York under the title One to One concert, but due to the large one Ticket demand, another concert was scheduled for the afternoon of the same day. Both concerts were recorded and filmed, and proceeds from the event went to children with disabilities at Willowbrook House. John Lennon and Yoko Ono were musically supported by the band Elephant's Memory and Jim Keltner . With this line-up, the album Some Time was recorded in New York City , which was released in the USA in June 1972. The name of the live band for the performance was 'Plastic Ono Elephant's Memory Band'. The recordings were directed by Phil Spector . The evening concert was broadcast on the US television station ABC .
