Leonard Proxauf
Leonard Proxauf (born November 27, 1995 in Berlin ) is an Austrian actor .
Life
Proxauf is the son of the actress and acting agent Katja Proxauf. He made his feature film debut in 2006 with the supporting role of the childish Behrendt in Jörg Rampke's thriller Pay Your Fear (2006). He became internationally known for the lead role in Toke Constantin Hebbeln's drama Never Sea , which won the Student Academy Award . In 2008 he played Christian Buddenbrook in Heinrich Breloer's literary adaptation Buddenbrooks, while August Diehl played the character in adulthood.
The highlight of Proxauf's acting career so far was the supporting role of the pastor's son Martin in Michael Haneke's multi-award-winning historical drama The White Ribbon - A German Children's Story (2009), which he played at the age of 14. He and Leonie Benesch received the US Young Artist Award for the European co-production, which reports on puzzling incidents in a north German village on the eve of the First World War .
Subsequently, Proxauf also worked increasingly for television . In the ZDF crime series Der Kommissar und das Meer (2010) he played Niklas Anders, the son of Commissioner Robert Anders ( Walter Sittler ). In the Leipzig Tatort: Kinderland , which was first broadcast in April 2012, Proxauf was seen as Paul Tremmel. He played a teenager whose mother finds out that he is the father of the child of a young homeless person.
In the feature film Halbschatten (2013), the feature film debut by Nicolas Wackerbarth (script and direction), he played alongside Emma Bading as his sister Emma, the pubescent son Felix, who was suspicious and dismissive of his father's new partner .
Proxauf also had episode roles in the ZDF crime series SOKO Wismar (2015) and SOKO Leipzig (2015, as a suspect youth Noah Hausmann). In March 2016, Proxauf was seen in the Austrian-German coming-of-age film Aus der Haut . He played the student Christoph, whose best gay friend Milan ( Merlin Rose ) falls in love with him.
