Leonardo Fioravanti (* 1938 ) is an Italian automobile designer who worked for Pininfarina in the 1960s and 1970s , where he designed numerous sports cars for Ferrari , which are now among the classics in demand. In 1991 Fioravanti founded the design studio Fioravanti Srl , of which he is currently director.

Life

Fioravanti studied mechanical engineering at the Milan Polytechnic in the late 1950s . There he specialized in the areas of aerodynamics and vehicle design. After completing his training in 1964, Fioravanti took up a job at Pininfarina, one of the most renowned automobile designers in Italy. Fioravanti initially worked for Pininfarina Studi & Ricerche in the field of research, later he designed the bodies of various Ferrari and Fiat models. Fioravanti stayed with Pininfarina until 1988. He then worked temporarily for Ferrari and for Alfa Romeos Centro Stile .

In 1987, Leonardo Fioravanti founded Fioravanti Srl, a design studio based in Moncalieri near Turin , for which he has been a manager since 1991. Fioravanti Srl designs prototypes and does research and development work for various automobile manufacturers.
