Leopold Fischer (politician)

Leopold Fischer (born January 8, 1903 in Sooss , † July 24, 1982 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and winegrower. From 1949 to 1962 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

After primary school, Fischer attended a community school and then graduated from the viticulture school in Gumpoldskirchen and Krems an der Donau . He also attended a special course at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna . In 1927, Fischer took over his parents' winery and subsequently worked as a winegrower.

Fischer was mayor of Sooss and represented the Austrian People's Party between November 8, 1949 and December 14, 1962 in the National Council.
