Career
society
George played in a number of youth teams before joining FC Utrecht . For the 2006/07 season he moved up to the club's professional squad and made it to his debut in the Eredivisie on April 13, 2007 . In the game against Sparta Rotterdam , the then young player was substituted on for Etienne Shew-Atjon at halftime . In the same encounter he scored the 1-1 equalizer, at the same time also the final score, and thus his first competitive goal for the FCU . By the end of the season, the offensive player had two more missions. In the following year, George was a permanent member of the Utrecht staff. Because of his good performance, his contract was extended until 2011. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season , the attacker fell out with coach Willem van Hanegem and was rarely used. After his dismissal in December 2008, George is back in shape and found his way back to the professional team.
In the summer of 2010 George moved to league rivals NEC Nijmegen .
After playing for the Azerbaijani club Qarabağ Ağdam for two years from the summer of 2013 , he moved to the Turkish second division Göztepe Izmir in the 2015/16 season and a season and a half later within the TFF 1. Lig to Adana Demirspor .
National team
Between 2007 and 2008, George was asked several times by the Dutch U-21 coach Foppe de Haan to play for his team. The reason for this was the injuries of the regular players Siem de Jong and Luigi Bruins . Before that he played for the U-20s of the Netherlands. In 2009 he was appointed to the U-21 squad for the Toulon tournament.
In June 2009 George played for a Surinamese-Dutch selection at the Parbo Beer Cup in Paramaribo . The team, coached by Aron Winter, consisted half of local players , the other half of players of Surinamese origin from the Dutch leagues, so-called Suriprofs, who competed with their own team at the previous edition of the tournament in 2007. The use of professionals - including Edgar Davids as captain of the team and Jeremain Lens - was possible because the tournament was not held under the umbrella of FIFA. The games do not count as official internationals.
