Leszek Krowicki (born November 9, 1957 in Danzig ) is a former Polish handball player and current handball coach .

Career

As a player, Krowicki was two Polish champions with Wybrzeże Gdańsk and was a member of the Polish national team .

He began his career as a coach in Poland at Start Gdańsk and later worked as an assistant coach for the Polish women's national team. He then trained the ladies of TuS Walle Bremen , the Dutch national team, TSG Bielefeld and Buxtehuder SV . In April 2004 he was given short-term leave of absence from the Buxtehude management team after an incident. During his work at BSV, Krowicki was interim trainer for the German women's national team in 2001 . But had to give up this position again, as the league committee spoke out against this dual function. From 2005 to 2017 he coached the women's team of Bundesliga club VfL Oldenburg . From September 1, 2016 to July 19, 2019, he coached the Polish women's national team .

With Walle Bremen, he won three German championships between 1990 and 1995, and one cup and one European cup. In 1994 he won the triple with Bremen : DHB Cup, German Championship and European Cup.

The qualified handball trainer and journalist is married and has a daughter and a son.
