Leszek Stępniewski

Leszek Stępniewski (born April 22, 1962 in Skierniewice ) is a former Polish cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

1985 was the year of his greatest sporting success. He was runner-up in the team time trial at the UCI track world championships with his teammates Andrzej Sikorski , Ryszard Dawidowicz and Marian Turowski . In 1984 he became Polish champion in the 1000 meter time trial and in 1985 in the points trial . In 1985 he won the most important rail competition in South America , the Gran Caracol .

Stępniewski also successfully competed in road races . In 1986 he won a stage of the International Peace Tour , but later retired from the race.
