The Letov Š-33 aircraft is a single-engine, two- to three-seat high- wing aircraft that was designed as a bomber . The type was developed in the Letov factory in Letnany near Prague in Czechoslovakia. The first flight of the machine took place in 1930. However, the machine barely made it off the ground and bounced back again, damaging it. After it had been repaired and rebuilt, a second attempt was made in which the machine could only climb a few hundred meters. It was not until November 1930 that the machine reached its top speed during another attempt to fly. Work on the aircraft is said to have been stopped only in 1932. The construction was carried out by Alois Šmolík .

The machine was probably not completed due to engine problems. Instead, a Letov Š-16 was equipped with the intended engine and used for record flights.
