Levedagsen is a district of the Salzhemmendorf patch and is located in an exposed location on the southern slope of the Thüster mountain in the state of Lower Saxony . The Eggersen domain also belongs to the Levedagsen district. In earlier times there was a castle here on an island surrounded by the Saale .
history
Levedagsen was first mentioned around the year 1200. More details are known about the district from 1680. That year, on October 28th, a school in Levedagsen was approved by the church authorities. The first school with a schoolmaster's apartment was built in 1724. On November 1, 1846, the new construction of the Evangelical Lutheran chapel “St. Jacobus ”in Levedagsen. The station building at Levedagsen station for the Voldagsen-Duingen-Delligsen small train dates from 1897. In 1967, the station building was acquired by the municipality of Levedagsen and was used to accommodate the homeless. In the course of the expansion of the state road and the construction of the bridge at the station, the house had to be demolished in 1977. Due to the increasing number of pupils, a larger school building had to be built in 1903, which was used until the school closed on July 31, 1970. The retaining wall in the village dates from 1934, and the local volunteer fire brigade Levedagsen was founded in the same year . Three years later Levedagsen won 1st place in the village beautification competition of the district of Hameln-Pyrmont.
In 1951 the Gronau sugar factory built a beet loading station at Levedags train station, which was in operation until 1978. A bathing establishment, which can also be used as a fire extinguisher, dates from 1954. Ten years later, the local roads were paved. In 1965 Levedagsen achieved 2nd place in the competition “ Our village should be more beautiful ”; 15th place in the state competition. This success could 1967 with the 1st place; 9th place in the state competition, even outbid. In 1977 the school was expanded into a village community center.
