A total of five different types of buses from the British commercial vehicle manufacturer Leyland Motors were marketed under the name Leyland Lion .

  • The name was first used for the Leyland PSC, which was built from 1925 to 1940 . From around 1930 the vehicles were given the type designation LT . The long-nosed version of this type was marketed as a Lioness , while Leyland's long- nosed animals generally received a corresponding female animal name at that time.
  • The name was used again for the Leyland Lion PSR1 , which was built in small numbers from 1960 to 1967 . The PSR1 was the first rear-engined monoplane that Leyland had developed.
  • The fourth type of bus from Leyland to be named Lion was the Leyland B21, built from 1981 to 1985 .
  • The double-decker bus based on the Leyland Tiger was also named Lion in 1985 .
