Lianga is a Philippine municipality in the province of Surigao del Sur . It has 29,493 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census). Their neighboring communities are San Agustin in the north and Barobo in the south. The most important educational institution in the community is the Surigao del Sur State University , which was founded in 2010.
