Libero Bizzarri

Libero Bizzarri (born May 4, 1926 in Montalto delle Marche , Ascoli Piceno province , † March 31, 1986 in San Benedetto del Tronto ) was an Italian journalist and documentary director .

Life

Bizzarri, politically active and journalist, came to Rome in 1949 and worked for L'Avanti! , MondOperaio and Lavoro . 1959 to 1962 he was also active as a film critic ; he also wrote numerous essays on the subject. From the 1950s until 1976 he also made a number of documentaries and some works for television. With it he took part in some festivals; his Boccione ei futuristi was nominated for an Oscar in 1961. For the cinema he was active with an episode of I misteri di Roma and the collaboration film L'Addio a Enrico Berlinguer in 1984.

In 1976 he founded the production company Eagle Cinematografia . A foundation in his name awards a prize for work on the subject of “communication and cinematography”.
