Benoît Cardon de Lichtbuer (born August 26, 1942 in Ixelles ) is a former Belgian ambassador .

Life

Benoît Cardon de Lichtbuer is the son of Gabrielle Carton de Wiart (born June 16, 1905) and Christian Cardon de Lichtbuer (born March 6, 1906). He married Raphaëlle de Viron (* May 26, 1946) their children are Anthony Cardon de Lichtbuer (* 1970), David Cardon de Lichtbuer (* 1972), Brieuc Cardon de Lichtbuer * 1974 Marie-Antoinette Barbier and Christian Cardon de Lichtbuer (* 1979). From 1979 to 1989 Benoît Cardon de Lichtbuer was secretary to Fabiola de Mora y Aragón . From April 29th to May 8th 1995 Benoît Cardon de Lichtbuer was ambassador in Cairo . In 1999, Benoît Cardon de Lichtbuer was Consul General in Strasbourg. From 1999 to 2002 Benoît Cardon de Lichtbuer was representative of the Belgian governments at the Council of Europe , from September 14, 1999 to August 2, 2002 at UNESCO . From 2002 to 2006 Benoît Cardon de Lichtbuer was ambassador to the Holy See .
