Light ships on Europe is a German-Bosnian documentary - Satire of Eric Hordes .

content

After decades of loneliness, a choleric hermit who calls himself "The Founder" descends from the Bosnian mountains to bring his obsession with freedom, love and sex to 144,000 people. He prophesies to his disciples holy redemption through a light ship from space. Together with his daughter Little White Cloud, he starts his missionary work from the Balkans to Bavaria. But the more and more frequent meteorite impacts and the interference by Jesus Charly ensure that the beaming process is not that smooth .

Production notes

For research on the film The Founder , director Eric Hordes , the actresses Vera Göpfert and Britta Selling as well as the star TV editor Johannes Sisko spent two weeks in a spiritual community in Eggstätt , where in a house next to the advertising filmmaker Karl Danguillier a whole host of former employees of Kanal Telemedial cavorted. The impressions that Hordes and his crew gathered were so weird that they decided to capture everything on film. With Sisko as the dazzling figure of the founder , a mixture of documentary film and scripted reality was created. Since the next reportage project about a miracle healer in Bosnia was imminent, but the production of light ships over Europe was not yet finished, the entire film team decided to go on a trip to the Balkans. In the city of Bihac , the film was completed in addition to the report. Light ships over Europe is published by the Turbine Media Group as a bonus film on the DVD of the satire The Founder.
