Liedfett is a German acoustic pop band that was founded in 2007 in Hamburg . It consists of the three musicians Daniel Michel on vocals, Lucas Uecker on guitar and Philipp Pöhner on cajón . Liedfett only uses acoustic instruments. The band has now released five albums and is also known beyond Hamburg.

history

Liedfett was founded in 2007 by Lucas Uecker and Daniel Michel in Hamburg. According to their own statements, Uecker, Michel and Pöhner met at a concert in Hamburg's Logo at the end of 2007 and wrote their first song on the toilet that evening, called Sabine . Uecker and Michel began to record their first pieces and to play concerts; In 2010 Philipp Pöhner joined as a third permanent member. The band's first release was their EP ADS-Kinder .

Also in 2007, Liedfett began to play regularly at various festivals , such as Deichbrand , Donauinselfest and Area 4 . In 2011 the band made their breakthrough by winning the Hamburg rocks competition . Shortly thereafter, Liedfett published the first album entitled Cookbook . Music videos were shot for the songs Blinde Kuh , Vitamin C and Liedermaching Untergrund contained on it. In 2013 the band's second album, KlarKomm , was released. The songs from this album were Kater , are you coming with me? and Verkackt recorded more music videos before we start .

Music genre

The band describes itself as "Liedermaching Untergrund", which they also sang about in their song of the same name. Michel is mainly responsible for the vocals, Uecker plays the guitar, Pöhner the cajón . Michel also uses a kazoo for some pieces . Other acoustic instruments are also used in some of the pieces , for example an accordion is used in the piece Ein Lied auf den Lips , which is dedicated to her home town Hamburg .

Her style belongs to the singer-songwriter genre; the singing is mainly accompanied by an acoustic guitar. Before the time as Liedfett, the members were all in the genre of punk rock , which influences the style of Liedfett musically and lyrically. In the case of Liedbett, however, elements from other genres, especially hip-hop , are also represented.
