Liese Prokop Women's Prize

The Liese Prokop Women's Prize , named after the athlete and politician Liese Prokop (1941–2006), honors women in Lower Austria .

history

The women's prize was founded with Governor Erwin Pröll and Regional Councilor Johanna Mikl-Leitner . In memory and in memory of Liese Prokop from the Province of Lower Austria, the prize is awarded to women who are exemplary in Lower Austria through their personality, their performance and their work, through journalistic or scientific work, artistic or economic achievements, intercultural understanding or social commitment .

three women are recognized and one woman is awarded the main prize, which is endowed with 10,000 euros.
