Lilium hansonii is a species from the genus of lilies ( Lilium ) in the Martagon section . The species is only found in South Korea.
description
Lilium hansonii is a perennial , herbaceous plant and reaches a height of 90 to 120 centimeters. The onion is large and round with numerous white scales. The stem is firm and upright, the leaves are partly scattered, partly in two to four whorls . The leaves are sessile, 10 to 20 centimeters long and 1.5 to 4.5 centimeters wide, those of the whorls are narrower, individually standing wider.
Flowering time is from mid-May to late July. The inflorescence bears two to fifteen slightly downward pointing, yellow-orange and dark-spotted flowers . Your seeds germinate with a delay - hypogeic .
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 24.
distribution
Lilium hansonii is endemic to the South Korean island of Ulleungdo . There it occurs at an altitude of 300 to 1000 meters between dense forests of deciduous and evergreen trees on volcanic soils with a high proportion of organic matter.
