Lilyan Chauvin

Lilyan Chauvin (born August 6, 1925 in Paris , † June 26, 2008 in Los Angeles , United States ) was a French actress and director .

At the age of 21, she moved to New York City , where she studied acting under Uta Hagen and at the Actors Studio . She played leading and supporting roles in numerous Hollywood productions and was twice nominated for an Emmy . As a director, she has participated in numerous television series and theater productions. Chauvin was vice president of Women in Film , an organization that advocates greater participation of women in the film business. In addition, she produced and moderated the series Hollywood Structured , which illuminated the careers of Hollywood stars through interviews and contributions.

Chauvin died on June 26, 2008 of a heart condition and longstanding cancer in Los Angeles.
