Lindewitter Forest
The Linde Witter Forest ( Danish : Lindved Skov or Lindeved Skov ) is a 70 hectares large forest at Lindewitt in Schleswig-Flensburg .

A mixed forest is characteristic of the forest . There are mainly deciduous tree species, especially beech and oak , and occasionally even cherry . Conifers make up both red spruce , Douglas fir and silver fir . The soil is already sandy and less nutrient-rich than the soil of the eastern hill country in Schleswig-Holstein . The area around Lindewitt already belongs to the Geest . The special features of the forest include a fitness trail , a forest swimming pool and the Countess von Blücher monument. In the immediate vicinity of the forest there is also a kindergarten and the elementary and secondary school of the village of Lindewitt. TSV Lindewitt , which maintains its sports facilities there, is also located on the edge of the forest .
The forest area is part of the Schleswig-Holstein state forest . The name of the forest is from old Danish. lind for linden trees and -ved for forest.

The Glücksburger Försterei is responsible for the management of the Lindewitter Forest .
