from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lindhof is a residential area in the Drüsedau district of the Altmärkische Höhe community in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The farm is located about one kilometer southeast of Drüsedau in the forest area Stadtforst Seehausen and in the nature reserve east edge of the Arendsee plateau .

history

The first mention of it comes from the year 1541. The Heiliggeisthospital zu Seehausen had income (grain collection) from the man on the farm in Lindow . In 1687 he was called Hoff zu Lindow . In 1794 there is a report of a farm. It is here that the knight St. Jürgen killed the lindworm . The farm previously belonged to von Rossow zu Falkenberg , now to Frau von Kannenberg zu Krumke, who keeps a lumberjack there. Von der Schulenburg has built a brick factory at Lindhof .

In 1804 the Hof zu Lindau or Lindhof has a leaseholder, the soil is poor.

In 1842, the Lindhof or Hof zu Lindau was a Vorwerk with a brick factory that belonged to the church in Seehausen.

Later the farm and brickworks came to the Drüsedau estate. When the Drüsedau manor district was merged with the Drüsedau rural community on September 30, 1928 , both came to Drüsedau.

prehistory

The large stone grave Lindhof was destroyed in the 19th century. According to information from Ernst Haetge from 1938, it was located on the large meadows west of the courtyard, was surrounded by oaks and was called "The golden cradle".
