Lindy Etzensperger (born November 9, 1998 ) is a Swiss ski racer . It specializes in the disciplines of giant slalom , super-G and downhill .

biography

Etzensperger comes from Gamsen in the canton of Valais and is the daughter of the successful ski mountaineer Nathalie Etzensperger . As a 16-year-old, she took part in FIS races and national junior races from November 2014 . She had her first appearances in the European Cup in January 2017 and her first victory in an FIS race was achieved in November 2017. She received European Cup points for the first time on December 9, 2017, with 22nd place in the Super-G at Kvitfjell .

In the 2018/19 season Etzensperger was finally able to establish himself in the European Cup. She celebrated her first victory in this racing series on January 31, 2019 at the giant slalom in Tignes . A little more than three weeks later, she won the bronze medal in Super-G at the 2019 Junior World Championships in Val di Fassa . She made her World Cup debut on March 8, 2019 at the giant slalom in Špindlerův Mlýn , where she immediately scored her first World Cup points with 27th place.
