Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd. ( Linglong Tire ) is a publicly traded company based in the People's Republic of China primarily engaged in the design, development, manufacture and sale of automobile tires . For many years, the company has been one of the world's 20 leading tire manufacturers and the top 3 in China.
Linglong Tire has manufacturing facilities in Zhaoyuan , Dezhou and Liuzhou . The company opened its first overseas plant in 2014, a car tire factory in Chon Buri , Thailand, and expanded truck and bus tire capacity in 2015.
In 2018, Linglong Tire announced the construction of a fourth Chinese facility with a total annual capacity of nearly 14.5 million units in Jingmen , Hubei Province , in February .
In March 2019, Linglong began building a second overseas production facility in the free trade zone of the Serbian city of Zrenjanin, making it the first European factory for the Chinese tire industry. Shandong Linglong Tire plans to invest 870 million euros there. A total of over 13 million tires will then be produced there annually. The planned start of production is in 2021, the three-phase expansion of the production site should be completed in 2025.
Sponsorship
A cooperation with VfL Wolfsburg has existed since the beginning of 2015 . Linglong Tire acts as a global sponsor of the highest partner level around the wolves' home games. Initially, Linglong Tire started as an international partner of the wolves. On July 1, 2018, the partnership intensified and the company rose to become a global ClubofChampions partner. The partnership and cooperation between Linglong and VfL Wolfsburg had developed from a top partner to a shirt sponsor since 2015. From the new 2019/20 season , the players in the Bundesliga and the DFB Cup will wear the Chinese tire manufacturer's logo on the left jersey sleeve.
