Lintmill is a small village on the eastern border of the Scottish Council Area Moray and Aberdeenshire . Lintmill is on the Cullen Burn Creek about 1.5 kilometers south of Cullen and nine kilometers east of Buckie . The village is connected to the trunk road network via the A98 , which runs about one kilometer to the north and connects Fochabers with Fraserburgh .
From 1825 Lintmill was the location of a nationally significant whiskey distillery called Tochineal . However, this was closed in 1871 in favor of the Inchgower distillery in Buckie.
