Lioba Reddeker
Lioba Reddeker (born April 6, 1961 in Hövelhof , North Rhine-Westphalia ; † August 27, 2011 in Vienna ) was a German art scholar and curator .
Life
Lioba Reddeker, born in Hövelhof in 1961, studied art history, German and journalism at the University of Bonn and Münster . From 1988 to 1997 Reddeker organized exhibitions in the Viennese galleries and developed scientific studies in the art field. In 1994 she founded and directed the AKKU Association for Art, Theory and Education in Vienna and in 1995 the Institute for Studies in Cultural Practice eV in Bonn. She was on the board of directors of the Manifesta Biennale .
From 1997 to 1999 Reddeker was Federal Curator for Fine Arts on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Science, Research and the Arts . In 1997 she founded the Austrian art database basis wien , and in 1999 the European art database Vektor . In 1997 she made part of the start-up capital available to the television station TIV . Since 2005, Reddeker has curated exhibitions in Hangar-7 in Salzburg. Reddeker last lived and worked in Vienna.
