Lionel Robert (born April 20, 1962 ) is a French racing car driver .

Career

Robert began his racing career in the early 1980s and came across various seater -Nachwuchsformeln quickly to sports car racing. In 1986 he made his debut for a British private team at the 24 Hours of Le Mans . In 1990 he became a works driver at Courage Compétition and for a number of years team partner of the former Formula 1 driver Pascal Fabre . In 1990 he also achieved his best placement in Le Mans when he finished seventh overall with Fabre and Michel Trollé . Between 1986 and 1998, Robert competed at Le Mans seven times.

At the beginning of the 2000s, he switched to the French sports car championship and has been racing in the V de V Sports series since 2007 .
