Pascal Fabre (born January 9, 1960 in Lyon ) is a former French car racing driver who competed in Formula 1 , among other things .

The beginnings

After a season in the French Formula Renault Fabre entered the French Formula 3 championship in 1980 and 1981 . The 1980 season he finished second in the championship, in 1981 he was seventh. At the same time as his involvement in French Formula 3, Fabre also registered for several races in the European Formula 3 Championship in 1981. He couldn't convince here; with only one championship point he was overall-22. In 1982 the French team AGS registered him for the Formula 2 European Championship ; here Fabre moved an AGS JH19. After just one year, which Fabre finished as eighth in the championship, he parted ways with AGS in order to return to Formula 3 for 1983 and to compete in the World Sports Car Championship at the same time . In 1984 Fabre returned to Formula 2 with the private team BS Fabrications . This season scored a victory: he won the Gran Premio dell'Adriatico in Misano . In 1985 and 1986 he drove for Oreca and the Lola factory team in the Formula 3000 championship .

In the 1987 Formula 1 season , Fabre was registered as a driver for the French AGS team for 14 Grand Prix races, but was only able to qualify for eleven races. He didn't get any championship points and was replaced for the last two races of the season by the Brazilian Roberto Moreno .

After his short Formula 1 career, Fabre drove from 1988 to 1992 for the Courage Compétition team in the sports car world championship , which was held by the FIA .
