Lioudmila Kortchaguina ( Russian Людмила Корчагина , Lyudmila Kortschagina, English transcription Lyudmila Korchagina ; born July 26, 1971 in Sverdlovsk ) is a Canadian marathon runner of Russian origin.

In 1995 and 1996 she won both the Lyon and Nantes marathons, and in 1996 she finished fourth in the Paris marathon .

After a baby break, she won the 2001 Hartford Marathon , and the following year she won the Ottawa Marathon and defended her title at Hartford. In 2003 she finished second in the Los Angeles Marathon and won the Pittsburgh Marathon and the Dallas White Rock Marathon . In 2004 another triumph in Ottawa was followed by victories at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon and at the premiere of the Salt Lake City Marathon .

The following year she received Canadian citizenship and was second overall in the Ottawa Marathon national champion, after she had previously also finished second in the Houston Marathon over the half marathon distance and the Las Vegas Marathon that year. At the World Half Marathon Championships in Edmonton , she came in 21st place, and at the end of the year she managed another victory in Dallas.

In 2006, she defended her national title as the overall winner in Ottawa and finished sixth at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne . Also in 2007 she became national champion with a victory in Ottawa.

In 2009, a third place in the Houston Marathon was followed by a second in Ottawa, with which she won the national title for the fourth time.

From 2002 to 2004, she won the Around the Bay Road Race over 30 km three times in a row and set the current course record of 1:46:05 h on her third victory.

Lioudmila Kortchaguina is 1.60 cm tall and weighs 47 kg. She is married and lives in Thornhill in the Greater Toronto Area .
