Lisa Cole is an American soccer coach .
Career
Player
Cole played from 1993 to 1997 during her studies at Pacific Lutheran University for the local university team of the PLU Lutes .

From 1997 to 2003, Cole was an assistant coach for the university teams of the Ole Miss Rebels and Connecticut Huskies , and from 2003 she was head coach for the Rhode Island Rams for the first time. From 2005 to 2006 she worked as an assistant to Mark Krikorian at the Florida State Seminoles .
From 2007 to 2008 Cole was active as an assistant coach at Tony DiCicco's side at SoccerPlus Connecticut in the WPSL , and from 2009 to 2011 also under DiCicco at the Boston Breakers in the WPS . After the WPS was dissolved before the 2012 season, she moved up to head coach and led her team, now competing in the WPSL Elite , to first place in the 2012 regular season .
At the end of 2012, the Breakers announced that Cole would also serve as head coach in the opening season of the newly formed National Women's Soccer League, which began in April 2013 . On August 2, 2013, she was fired from Boston and replaced by interim player-coach Cat Whitehill . At this point in time, the Breakers were in fifth place four games before the end of the season, seven points behind fourth place in the table, which allowed them to participate in the play-offs.
In 2016, Cole was the host of the Papua New Guinea U-20 national team at the 2016 Women's U-20 World Cup . In early 2018, she was briefly assistant to Vera Pauw on the Houston Dash franchise .
