Lisa Zane (* 5. April 1961 in Chicago as Elizabeth Frances Zane ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Lisa Zane, a sister of Billy Zane , is of Greek descent. She studied theater studies at Vassar College . Zane made her debut in an episode of the 1989 television series Gideon Oliver . In the 1989 film drama Burning Hatred , she appeared on the side of Ally Sheedy , Virginia Madsen , Phoebe Cates and Treat Williams .

In the film drama Death Friends - Bad Influence (1990) Zane played one of the bigger roles on the side of Rob Lowe and James Spader . From 1992 to 1993 she appeared in the television series LA Law - Star Lawyers, Tricks, Trials . She took on bigger roles in the television thriller The Retort Killer (1994), in the action thriller Blindkill (1994) and in the action film Baby Face Nelson (1995). In the television drama From Heart Torn (2000), she played a former prostitute who kidnapped a small child.

Zane appeared in David Mamet 's production of The Cherry Orchard at Chicago's Goodman Theater .
