Liselotte Gretzschel

Liselotte Gretzschel (born November 4, 1920 in Dresden ; † October 28, 1976 ) was a German politician ( SED ). From 1971 to 1976 she was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Liselotte Gretzschel was born into a working class family. After elementary school, she completed a commercial apprenticeship from 1937 to 1939 and attended business school. After that she was a housewife until 1945.

From 1945 to 1954 she initially worked as a secretary and clerk in the motor transport company of the State of Saxony , and finally became the head of the company's Dresden district office. Liselotte Gretzschel became a member of the Free German Trade Union Confederation (FDGB) in 1946 and the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) in 1948. When she was appointed main director of the Dresden Motor Transport Authority in 1954, she was elected to the Dresden SED district leadership at the II. SED District Delegate Conference in Dresden in March 1954. At times she also belonged to the office of the SED district leadership. She completed her studies at the "Friedrich List" University of Transportation in Dresden in 1964 as a graduate engineer economist. From 1967 to 1971 she was a member of the Dresden District Assembly and a member of the Standing Commission for Industry, Building and Transport. With the formation of the VEB Kraftverkehrskombinat Dresden in 1971, she became the main director of the combine. In November 1971 she was elected to the People's Chamber for the first time as a member of the SED parliamentary group and was also active in the committee for industry, construction and transport.

Liselotte Gretzschel was married, the mother of two children, and died at the age of 55.
