Lisl Tirsch-Kastner

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lisl Tirsch-Kastner (born February 13, 1894 in Vienna , † August 18, 1984 in Berlin ) was a German-Austrian actress and singer . She was married to the popular silent film actor Bruno Kastner .

Life

Lisl (also Liesel or Luise) Tirsch was born as Aloisia Maria Dusek in Vienna. In the 1919/20 season she was employed at the New Operettenhaus Berlin , in the 1920/21 and 1921/22 seasons at the Corso Theater in Zurich and in 1922/23 at the Berlin Theater . She was probably also an actress in silent films. Her professional career could be clarified more precisely by researching her estate, which is in private hands.

Since their marriage in 1925, she was (after Ida Wüst ) the second wife of the well-known silent film actor Bruno Kastner . After his suicide in 1932, she apparently worked mainly on the radio, after the war mainly for television. In 1953 her participation in defraudants by Alfred Polgar (role: Ludmilla) in the Hebbel Theater in Berlin can be proven. After the war she starred in films like Frucht ohne Liebe (1956) and Anders als Du und Ich (1957).

Tirsch-Kastner has been portrayed by well-known photo studios, including René Ahrlé and Dührkoop .
