List of architectural monuments in Weiler-Simmerberg
The monuments of the Swabian community of Weiler-Simmerberg are compiled on this page . This table is a partial list of the list of architectural monuments in Bavaria . The basis is the Bavarian Monument List , which was first drawn up on the basis of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act of October 1, 1973 and has since been managed by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation . The following information does not replace the legally binding information from the monument protection authority.
Ensembles
Ensemble church square
The ensemble includes the church square of the village Weiler, first mentioned in 894, which is considered the foundation of the Benedictine monastery of St. Gallen and is one of the oldest parishes in the western Allgäu. The square is elevated to the south above the Hausbach, on both sides of which the large town spreads out. It is market, church and official place at the same time; in the east it is bounded by the spacious, classicistic building of the Blasius Church, newly built in 1796/98. Its western front, which towers above a flight of stairs, faces the town hall to the west, a saddle roof building from 1680/81 of equally impressive dimensions. Built as the official building of the Altenburg court in Vorarlberg until 1805, it served in the 18th century as a well-equipped K. u. K. Office building and as a court tavern; it was not until 1922 that it became the town hall of the large market town. - The southern flight of the spacious rectangular square is occupied by three broad gabled buildings from the 18th century with roofs with different slopes; two of them are old inns. The eastern edge of the square extends to the bank of the stream and is limited by the long, ground-floor building of the old Schrannen building from the 18th century. File number: E-7-76-129-1

Remarks
- ↑ This list may not correspond to the current status of the official list of monuments. The latter can be viewed on the Internet as a PDF using the link given under web links and is also mapped in the Bavarian Monument Atlas . Even these representations, although they are updated daily by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation , do not always and everywhere reflect the current status. Therefore, the presence or absence of an object in this list or in the Bavarian Monument Atlas does not guarantee that it is currently a registered monument or not. The Bavarian List of Monuments is also an information directory. The property of a monument - and thus the legal protection - is defined in Art. 1 of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act (BayDSchG) and does not depend on the mapping in the Monument Atlas and the entry in the Bavarian Monument List. Objects that are not listed in the Bavarian Monument List can also be monuments if they meet the criteria according to Art. 1 BayDSchG. Early involvement of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation according to Art. 6 BayDSchG is therefore necessary in all projects.
