Note: some listed buildings do not appear in the municipal map and can only be found on the National Museum page. There are other inconsistencies. Some of the buildings mentioned in De gule bynotater also do not appear in the municipal plan . It is unclear whether these are worth preserving. Unfortunately, the Qeqqata Kommunia has no marking of protected buildings in the municipal plan map.

B-32 | The building called Gammelhus ( German Althaus ) was built in 1756 when the Sydbay colony was founded . When the colony was moved to today's Sisimiut after eight years, the building was moved to its current location in 1764. The storey house was later covered with a stone wall and expanded and rebuilt many times and restored in 1982. Among other things, it served as the home of the whaling commander and as a bakery. B-46 | The red (B-46) and the yellow warehouse (B-45), which architecturally appear to belong together, are close to the harbor. However, only the red building is protected. B-114 | The old church of Sisimiuts is also called Den blå kirke ( German The Blue Church ) or Bethelkirken (after Bet-El ). It was the first church in Greenland to be paid for by the people. It was built in Copenhagen around 1772 and erected in Sisimiut in 1775. It has a vestibule and a central roof turret that functions as a bell tower.
