List of architectural monuments in Lanz (Prignitz)

The list of architectural monuments in Lanz lists all of the architectural monuments of the Brandenburg community of Lanz and its inhabited parts of the community. The basis is the publication of the state monument list as of December 31, 2019.

Architectural monuments

The columns contain the following information:

  • ID-No .: The number is assigned by the Brandenburg State Office for Monument Preservation . A link after the number leads to the entry about the monument in the monument database. ( Location ) Two railway bridges of the former Wittenberge-Lüneburg Railway The bridges of the former Wittenberge-Lüneburg Railway lead between Babekuhl and Lanz over the Löcknitz and a tributary. After 1945 the line was dismantled as a reparation payment to the Soviet Union, the bridges were preserved. Today there is a dirt road on the embankment.

Ferbitz village church with enclosure The church was built in 1906. It is a brick hall with a choir and tower. Inside there is an altarpiece from 1657 with paintings of the Last Supper and Crucifixion. The pulpit is from the same year. There are paintings of the twelve apostles on the gallery.

Manor complex, consisting of manor house, mausoleum, ice cellar, forester's house and manor park The core of the former castle is a baroque building. After the Second World War , the building was heavily modified. The house is now a vacation home. The landscape park dates from the beginning of the 19th century. Moellendorf's hereditary burial is located in the park.

( Location ) Memorial stone for Friedrich Ludwig Jahn Friedrich Ludwig Jahn was the initiator of the German gymnastics movement, he was born in Lanz. The monument commemorates him.

Village church The Protestant church is made of field stone and was built from 1425 to 1440. In 1701 the church was renewed. The pulpit altar inside also dates from this year.

Village church The Protestant church was built in 1789. It is a half-timbered building with a roof tower with a curved hood. The morgue was added to the east side of the church in 1950. On the south porch there are two gravestones from the 18th century. Inside a baroque pulpit altar with carved sound cover. The west and south pores were built in at the beginning of the 20th century.

Rectory with farm buildings and fencing The former rectory was built in the mid-19th century in the neo-Gothic style. The central axis of five axes forms a central projection with a stepped gable. There is a short flight of stairs in front of the risalit, the roof is a gable roof.
