The city of Wolfsburg has granted honorary citizenship to 20 people since it was founded .

In the course of the incorporation of the towns of Fallersleben and Vorsfelde on July 1, 1972, the honorary citizenships conferred there were taken over by Otto Wolgast , Fritz Weiberg and Max Valentin .
