With the incorporation of the municipalities of Beerfurth and Ober-Kainsbach as the last to be incorporated into the municipality of Reichelsheim (Odenwald) , the municipality is one of the Hessian municipalities with the most districts.

Incorporation into the community of Reichelsheim (Odenwald)

The municipality located in the Odenwaldkreis (up to July 31, 1972 district Erbach ) was officially called Reichelsheim i at the time of all the incorporations listed here . Odw. On January 1, 1975, the name of the municipality was officially changed to Reichelsheim (Odenwald) .

The incorporations took place on February 1, 1971 (three municipalities), on July 1, 1971 (one municipality), on December 31, 1971 (five municipalities) and on August 1, 1972 (two municipalities).
