List of international women's champions (awarded 1950)
The list of international women's champions of 1950 lists all female chess players who received the title of international women's champions in 1950 from the FIDE world chess federation . It was the first year of the award. After Nina Hrušková-Bělská died in November 2015 , none of the 17 honored players is still alive.
With Walentina Borissenko , Jelisaweta Bykowa , Fenny Heemskerk , Edith Keller-Herrmann , Olga Rubzowa and Lyudmila Rudenko , six players later achieved the title of women's grandmaster ; Bykowa, Rubzowa and Rudenko also won the women's world chess championship and were awarded the title of International Master for this. Chantal Chaudé de Silans was later awarded the title of Honorary Grand Master of Women .

- WGM : Indicates the year of the award for players who were later named women's grandmasters.
- HWGM : Indicates the year of the award for players who were later named Honorary Grand Master of Women.
- Other associations : For players who were sooner or later eligible to play for at least one other association, specifies these associations with the periods of entitlement to play (if known). Changes to a successor state are taken into account if the player was still active in chess at that time.
