The Classical Philology department is based at the Center for Classical Studies (ZAT). With the re-establishment of the university, a professorship in Classical Philology (especially Latin Studies ) was created and filled with Hans-Otto Kröner . From 1973 Leif Bergson joined him as a second professor for classical philology (especially Greek studies ).
