Half-timbered house | Planstrasse 1 (map) |
Half-timbered house, library. This half-timbered house has restored, partially renewed half-timbering. The previous building was a one-story house, which was demolished in 1797 by Hans Jerg Haugstetter and replaced by the two-story single house that still exists today. A single house is a house with a barn under one roof. From 1877 onwards there is evidence of a guest establishment that was continued as Gasthaus Krone until 1942. In 1979 the city of Leonberg acquired this house and renovated it. The house was preserved and the library moved into the former barn in 1981, as was agreed during the incorporation negotiations in 1975.
