The Tim Bergling Foundation is a Swedish foundation founded by Klas Bergling and Anki Lidén, the parents of the Swedish musician Tim Bergling, known as Avicii . Avicii died of suicide in 2018 after suffering years of mental health problems. The foundation was originally set up to educate people about the treatment of mental illness and suicide prevention. The foundation's activities were later expanded to include development aid , species and nature conservation and corporate management.

Publications
In April 2019 it was announced that the studio album Tim would be released posthumously on June 6, 2019 . At the time of Avicii's death, the songs were between 70 and 80 percent finished and were completed by various producers. Even before the release date, the songs SOS with Aloe Blacc and Tough Love with Agnes and Vargas & Lagola were released as single releases. Parallel to the album, the song Heaven was also released as a single, which was created in collaboration with Coldplay front man Chris Martin . All proceeds from the sales of the album and singles went to the Tim Bergling Foundation .

Events
On November 17, 2018, the foundation organized a memorial service for the deceased musician in the Hedwig Eleonora Church in Stockholm. This took place in public and was allowed to be visited by friends, fans and relatives. Here Klas Bergling gave a speech about the life of Avicii. A choir was also present, presenting a selection of the musician's songs.
On December 5, 2019, the Tim Bergling Foundation hosted The Avicii Tribute Concert for Mental Health Awareness at the Friends Arena in Stockholm . Several guest musicians, including Rita Ora , Adam Lambert and Aloe Blacc, with whom Avicii worked together during his career, presented their songs. In addition, they were accompanied by a 30-person orchestra and a choir. Carl Falk, Vargas & Lagola, Blacc and Klas Bergling also dedicated a speech to the deceased. All proceeds from the 55,000 tickets sold were donated to charitable organizations.
Services
On December 5, 2019, it was announced that the Swedish Mental Health Association would be supported for at least three years with ten million SEK (approx. 960,000 €) per year. Their Självmordslinje department should be able to offer a contact person for affected people around the clock through this support. Klas Bergling said that "this is the best" thing they could do to "reduce the number of suicides."
