Detailed memorial texts

  1. Lichtenhain village church: arched windows, extensions in the W, N and S, choir closed on three sides, compact roof turret with lantern, flat-roofed inside, two galleries on wooden pillars, altarpiece from 1719 with the sacrifice of Isaac, in the excerpt God the Father and Jesus child. Wooden pulpit with sound cover, next to it a portrait of the church remodel Daniel Sturz from 1715, Jehmlich organ, a colored glass window around 1900, sandstone baptism.
    Inside, flat-covered, circumferential galleries , on the north and east sides two-storey. The altar with a well-carved and colored reredos depicting the sacrifice of Isaac, framed by rich acanthus leaves , E. 17th century, by the sculptor Johann Konrad Edelwehr from Zittau . The base, framed in the same way, with a medallion, the inscription of which relates to the scene, ends with a likewise carved medallion with God the Father. Simple wooden pulpit, formerly with the evangelists on the basket, end of the 17th century. Three portraits of pastors, 18th century. Jehmlich organ , 1927/28. (Dehio Sachsen I, 1996).
