1728-1730, older in essence Baroque castle by master builder Johann Christoph Knöffel , old castle representative Renaissance building, regional history, local history, art history, building history and artistically significant.
  • Castle: Stately castle and park complex in the valley of the Große Röder. Instead of a medieval moated castle, Elector Christian I had a renaissance castle and the neighboring “Great Stable” built around 1590 under the supervision of Paul Buchner . In 1728, Elector Friedrich August I donated the property to Count Christoph August von Wackerbarth , who had the castle converted into a "Palais" by Johann Christoph Knöffel by 1730 and an extensive park laid out in its main axis. Since 1768 owned by Elector Friedrich August III. , who gave Zabeltitz to Prince Xaver , since 1806 in changing hands.

The large stable extends along the Großer Röder as a two-storey building with a stair tower in the middle of the park side, which is closed off by a hood and lantern. The elongated building ends on both sides in head buildings with diaphragm houses and three volute gables each, and a toilet on the courtyard side. On the ground floor, parts of the two-aisled horse stable, arched with burrs over Tuscan columns, have been preserved. A rising stone bridge leads from the courtyard to the palace. The floor plan, which is unusual for a baroque building, and the proportions of the elevation are largely determined by the predecessor building from the end of the 16th century, corner buildings protruding on both sides of the courtyard, two-tiered central corpus facing the park, the three-storey structure closed by hipped roofs. The pilaster architecture above the grooved ground floor is painted illusionistically, has been reconstructed several times since 1963, most recently in 1993. The park-side central projection is closed off by a triangular gable, in it the coat of arms of Count Wackerbarth. The interior was heavily changed around 1900, but only the groin-vaulted rooms on the ground floor are preserved. (Dehio Sachsen I, 1996).

  • Long stable, so-called Old Castle (Am Park 2, Flst. 778): imposing two-storey building 84 m in length with a stair tower in the middle on the park side, this one with a hood and lantern, head buildings with Renaissance gables, a total of eight gables, parts on the ground floor the former stables as a two-aisled hall with Tuscan columns and cross vaults.

  • two gatehouses (Am Park 8, Flst. 776, Am Park 9, Flst. 782/1): narrow two-storey plastered buildings, on the ground floor horizontal plastering, on the upper floor facade structure through flat plaster pilaster strips, plastering mirrors and plastering flanges, narrow high hip roofs with plain tile covering, fencing: Plastered masonry, horizontal plaster grooves, wooden gate passage, flanking gate pillar with profiled cover plate.
  • Former prison (Am Park 10, Flst. 774/1): narrow two-storey plastered building on an angled floor plan, integrated into the wall of the manor complex, profiled stone walls, hipped roof with beaver tail covering (former prison of the Zabeltitz palace complex), renovated,
