List of cultural assets in Burgistein

The list of cultural assets in Burgistein contains all objects in the municipality of Burgistein in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflicts and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in category A are fully included in the list, objects in category B are not shown in the municipality, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Castle built after 1260 by the Burgistein ministerial family , since then it has been rebuilt and expanded several times. From 1493 owned by Wattenwyl , since 1715 by Graffenried . Mighty, three-storey plastered building with a high hipped roof on a two-storey basement substructure dug into the rock, with a gallery extension with groin vaults towards the courtyard . A cylindrical stair tower with a round arch portal is attached to the west facade .
