The City Deanery 2/20 is a dean's office in the Vicariate Vienna City of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna . It was created on October 1, 2018 by merging the dean's offices city dean's office 2 and city ​​dean's office 20 . The latter was only created in the 1970s by splitting off from City Deanery 19.

Diocesan development process

On November 29, 2015, development areas were defined for all parishes in the Archdiocese of Vienna. The parishes should work more closely together in the development areas, form parish associations or pastoral care rooms. At the end of the process, new parishes should emerge from the development areas. In the dean's office, city dean's office 2/20 (at that time still city dean's office 2 and city dean's office 20), the following development areas were defined:

  • Am Tabor, St. Josef and St. Leopold
  • Danube city
  • Our Lady in Augarten, To the Divine Redeemer and intermediate bridges (since September 1, 2017 Parish to all Saints)
