This list outlines the Prime Minister (Engl. Premier ) of the Territory Yukon in Canada since the introduction of self-government in 1978 to. The prime minister is also the leader of the party that holds the most seats in the legislative assembly . Before 1978, the territory had a legislature that performed almost exclusively advisory functions, no political parties and no head of government. Instead, a commissioner appointed by the federal government of Canada exercised governance.
