List of regional leagues in Germany

The regional leagues in Germany are organized by the respective sports associations or one or more state associations for the respective sport.

In American football in Germany, the regional leagues are the third leagues below the GFL and GFL 2 . In the 2010 season there are the regional leagues North, East, West, Middle and South.
In badminton there is a North Regionalliga, a West Regionalliga, a Middle Regionalliga and a Southeast Regionalliga. They represent the third highest German league after the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. The Regionalliga Nord includes teams from the regional associations of Berlin-Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Schleswig-Holstein. Teams from North Rhine-Westphalia compete in the Regionalliga West. The Central Regionalliga includes Thuringia, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, and the Southeast Regionalliga includes Bavaria, Saxony and Baden-Württemberg
The regional leagues in German basketball are not only subdivided regionally, there are also 1st and 2nd regional leagues, between which promotion and relegation is possible.
