List of stumbling blocks in Bassenheim

The list of stumbling blocks in Bassenheim contains all the stumbling blocks that were laid by Gunter Demnig in the Rhineland-Palatinate municipality of Bassenheim on March 11, 2017.

They are intended to commemorate the victims of National Socialism who had their last known place of residence in Bassenheim before they were deported, murdered, expelled or driven to suicide.

Siegfried Simon (1924–1945)
was born on April 10, 1924 in Bassenheim. He was deported to the Izbica ghetto on March 22, 1942, to the Majdanek concentration camp on April 2, 1942, and to Auschwitz on May 3, 1943 , until he was transferred to the Mauthausen concentration camp on January 25, 1945 . The camp was liberated on May 5, 1945, Siegfried Simon died on May 16, 1945.
