List of stumbling blocks in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of stumbling blocks in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler includes all 72 stumbling blocks by the German artist Gunter Demnig that were placed in the Ahrweiler , Bad Neuenahr and Heimersheim districts of the city of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler . The first laying of 30 Stolpersteins took place on April 19, 2012 in Bad Neuenahr. In April 2013 another 12 stumbling blocks were laid in the Bad Neuenahr and Heimersheim districts . On November 12, 2014, Gunter Demnig placed 20 more small brass memorials in the Ahrweiler district, and for the first time a placeholder stone was also laid for a surviving relative. The action in the city was provisionally concluded with 10 more stumbling blocks in spring 2015. These stones were relocated in the Ahrweiler district without Gunter Demnig. Since the artist could not use all 30 stones planned for Ahrweiler in November 2014, he allowed the city to attach the remaining memorial stones itself.
